Teaching and learning continues to shape me as a professional and a person in our society. Every facet continues to fascinate me as I look to expand my knowledge and pedagogy skills.

I have been a certified teacher since 2006, earning my MEd in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Shortly later,  I relocated and began my career in Virginia Beach, VA as a fifth grade teacher.

In 2009, life took me to Pennsylvania. After a year substituting and long-term placement, I was able to again restart my career, but this time as a third grade teacher with Northeastern SD in York, PA. While I cherish and loved my time in York, it was cut short due to budget cuts and my release resulted in me finding Sullivan County nestled in the mountains of northcentral Pennsylvania. Teaching in Sullivan County is like no other. The small district has allowed me to seek and find myself as teacher and a leader, and encouraged me as the first to achieve National Board status in the district, all while exploring grades 3-6.

Most recently, I have happily settled back into third grade – my perfect match! I have also earned my Supervisory Certification in Curriculum and Instruction and look forward to finding out what may lay around the many corners remaining.
